Lesser Highlights Award For Rocky Hill Firm

June 15, 2018

Rep. Matt Lesser, co-chair of the General Assembly’s Banking Committee, issued the following statement after the TAN2000 International Regulatory Corporation (TANRC) was named to the “Best for Governance” list by the respected nonprofit B Lab. The prestigious award honors B-corps or benefit corporations that provide a positive impact on society, workers, the community or the environment in addition to profit. TANRC is based in Rocky Hill.

“I’m thrilled that a great Connecticut company, TANRC, has received this prestigious award. As a legislator and chair of the Banking Committee, I'm working to find ways to ensure that Connecticut entrepreneurs have access to the capital they need to create jobs and start new businesses. If Connecticut is going to succeed, we need young people to stay here. That’s one of the big things I’m focused on. And TANRC is making that happen right here in Rocky Hill, helping protect startups, investors and service providers from shady business practices and promote transparency. Congratulations to the whole TANRC team!” Lesser said.

Dr. Sandra Potter, Chair of the System Board of Governors added, “We’re honored to receive this award for our governance. We’re happy to be in Rocky Hill and excited to work with Rep. Lesser in the future as we move to expand our work.”
