Help For Food Insecure
January 25, 2021The Community Action Agency of New Haven (CAANH) is pleased to announce the launch of its new HOPE (Healthy Options Pathways to Essential Foods) Voucher program, for our most vulnerable clients who are food insecure. CAANH will provide clients who are at or below 125 % of the federal poverty level nutritious option that will help reduce obesity, hypertension, diabetes, depression, and other medical conditions associated with inferior food options.
Vaccine Phase 1B Rollout Update
January 21, 2021The State of Connecticut is expecting about 45,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses on a weekly basis from the federal government. We now know that the State will be taking a tiered approach in Phase 1B as we work to vaccinate the nearly 1.4 million people in the recently updated Phase 1B category.

Black and Latino Studies Curriculum
December 14, 2020Connecticut will be the first state in the nation to require all high schools to offer courses on African-American, Black, Puerto Rican, and Latino studies. High schools will be required to offer these courses by Fall 2022.
