ARTE Scholarship Applications Open
August 3, 2021I want to share that ARTE, Inc. is announcing their 2021 Scholarship Awards and application guidelines. Applicants must be of Hispanic/Latino descent and must be a registered resident of Connecticut for a minimum of one year. Citizenship is not required to apply. All awards are based on funding and are limited.

Food Support for Qualifying Families
July 21, 2021Last Friday, over 57,800 students enrolled in the free or reduced-price meals program received the last round of the Pandemic EBT funding. This Friday, over 218,500 qualifying families will receive additional emergency food benefits through SNAP. Be Prepared for Hurricane Season

New Laws That Took Effect July 1

New Rebates For Electric Vehicle Purchases
June 29, 2021Governor Ned Lamont announced improvements to the Connecticut Hydrogen and Electric Automobile Purchase Rebate (CHEAPR) program – the state’s consumer rebate program for electric vehicles (EVs) – that will provide more Connecticut residents with more affordable access to purchase or lease an EV.
