We're racing towards the end of session as we pass a number of bills that will be crucial to protecting and supporting countless Connecticut residents.

Street takeovers, resulting from the illegal use of all-terrain and other types of vehicles, are becoming a much more dangerous issue in Connecticut, demanding that we take action against it. We did just that in the legislature last week, passing HB 5413 which seeks to provide more tools to municipalities for them to more effectively combat these street takeovers.

Last week, we passed a deal between the state and Personal Assisted Care (PAC) workers that protects not only their wages but also their physical well-being. PAC workers help care for our elderly, sick, disabled, and those with the most need for a helping hand.
