Spotlighting Passed Bills

May 15, 2019

The House of Representatives is in session and we passed three important bills.

  • HB 7093, AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO INCREASE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.
The bill will develop more employment opportunities for people with developmental or intellectual disabilities.

  • HB 5267, AN ACT CONCERNING FAIR REIMBURSEMENT TO RETAIL DEALERS OF POWER EQUIPMENT.
This bill is intended to extend to the power equipment dealers the same warranty reimbursement as afforded to automobile dealers. The legislation protects small power equipment dealers from warranty work required from purchases made at big box stores.

  • HB 7222, AN ACT CONCERNING THE CREATION OF LAND BANK AUTHORITIES.
The bill would allow the Office of Attorney General extend its responsibilities by opening a Civil Rights Division.

These bills will now be voted by the Senate.
