Tolls For CT Highways Is A Major Topic

April 12, 2019

It has been another busy week at the Capitol, and I have appreciated hearing from many of you regarding your thoughts on various issues. Tolls have continued to be a topic of much interest, and the legislation is still evolving.

Gov. Ned Lamont said earlier this week he is working with state lawmakers to craft a final tolling bill that addresses some of the public’s concerns, such as ensuring that no more than 50 overhead electronic toll collectors on four Connecticut highways.

Next week at the Capitol, the Appropriations Sub-Committee will be finalizing reports to the Chairs of Appropriations. From there, the Chairs will be crafting a budget, which will be negotiated with Republicans and the Governor’s office.

I will continue to track responses from the 83rd District that are sent to my office. I look forward to hearing from you!
