Holding VEYO Accountable For Service

VEYO, the new non-emergency transportation contractor for Medicaid medical patients, has been swamped with complaints about a lack of timely service since the company took over the Department of Social Services contract on Jan. 1.

People have complained about waiting for an hour or more and missing medical appointments. Rep. Cathy Abercrombie, co-chairwoman of the legislature’s Human Services Committee, has been very disappointed with the company and has led hearings on the issue.

At a legislative meeting, Representative Abercrombie said the legislature would be taking action against the company in February if it could not demonstrate lasting improvements.
