I was honored along with the late Gertrude Chandler Warner, an author known for "The Boxcar Children" series and a longtime teacher; the late Rose Bove LaRose, a businessperson and education advocate; the late John N. Dempsey, former governor of Connecticut; and William H. Mansfield III, who has a career in the United States Foreign Service.
