The House of Representatives convened for session on Wednesday and Thursday. We debated, tweaked, and passed several important pieces of legislation, including two that I cosponsored. I have provided details on both bills below:

The deadline to file your taxes is fast approaching. I wanted to share a few free resources that will ensure that your state and federal taxes are filed by April 15.

Many committees are beginning to wrap up their legislative work. I wanted to highlight a couple of bills that I cosponsored that passed out of committee.

We’ve been busy! Below are a few updates of my legislative work in Hartford and New Haven.

The Generation Power CT (GPCT) Emergency Energy Assistance Program will accept applications through March 10. This program provides a one-time grant of up to $500 to help eligible Connecticut households with electric, gas, or fuel expenses.

Earlier today, the Environment Committee approved three bills I co-sponsored and voted them out of committee. If enacted, these bills will do the following:

Attention New Haven residents - a proposed bill that will impact our community will have a public hearing this week. HB 5172 will have a public hearing in the Appropriations Committee on Thursday, March 5.
